Biomesotherapy, also known as BMT or biopuncture, is an integrated therapy where homeopathic products are used alongside stimulation of certain body parts through saline solution injections. Biomesotherapy is a very effective pain management therapy, comparable to cortisone therapy but without the added side effects. It is often used to treat sports injuries and physical injuries where muscular pain, arthritis, lower back pain, and neck pain are creating pain at an acute level.
It combines two well-proven healing methods – across acupuncture therapy and homeopathic injections.
Biomesotherapy works by stimulating the body through the use of a sterile saline solution injection – this is the same as the body’s fluid composition under the skin. Most of these injections are administered under the skin (subcutaneously) or directly into the muscles. These injections stimulate the body’s organ systems – known as a cutivisceral response. At the same time, oral homeopathy medicines that focus on the organ, or area of the body that requires treatment, are given for an integrated and effective treatment approach.
The Biomesotherapy needles we use for each saline injection are as fine as acupuncture needles, far removed from conventional medicinal injections, and are designed to treat pain without causing discomfort. They may first be inserted into a self-loading device called an “inject-ease”. The saline is then injected just under the skin or into certain muscle points, which may be trigger points or acupuncture therapy points, with treatment around the joints also. In the majority of cases, a session consists of a series of small treatments on a certain body area to achieve optimal results.
As practitioners of Biomesotherapy we adhere to strict guidelines to ensure the health and safety of our patients at all times. Using correct techniques and sterile materials we are constantly working towards the betterment of health for all our patients.
Biomesotherapy does not simply mask pain. As a treatment therapy it stimulates the body’s response to the cause of pain. It is a non-suppressive therapy that seeks to cure root causes rather than superficial symptoms. It may be effective for the following conditions:
